"Under the Misletoe- Drawn by Frederic Dielman" Frederic Dielman 1847-1935 was a well known illustrator, painter and arts academic of the time. This engraving appeared in Harper's Magazine December 1883. The artists stylized initials are drawn into bottom left and engraver Robert Hoskins added "R. Hoskins" to bottom right. The painting features a young couple walking in the snow beside a tree with a house in the far background. An impending kiss is implied. In pen in bottom left of page is "H.7" and in bottom right: "1884" |
