Rectangular line engraving of a ferocious battle scene. Both cavalry and infantry are involved in the carnage, with several dead visible on the ground. In the center left of the scene, one officer holds the American flag high while killing an enemy. To the left of the scene, a coward is seen fleeing the battle.
