Silk ribbon, Bunker Hill Battle Centennial. Made of printed silk. Depicts (from top to bottom): portraits of Washington and Lafayette around the Monument; Washington's carriage. Below portraits: "They both still live in the heart of every true lover of liberty." Below carraige: "Presented to him April 30, 1789, when first made President, and is still in existence. In this rode together the illustrious WASHINGTON and LAFAYETTE." |
