Rectangular line engraving of Pinckney in full length and military dress. He stands in a room, perhaps a field office. Pinckney stands in the center of the room, facing the viewer, and with his left hand stuffed into his waistcoat. Behind him is a table with a quill and tricorner on it, and a chair. A pair of boots sit under the table. Behind Pinckney and to his left there is an open door, where three figures can be seen. Two sit upon a log (one in uniform, the other not), and a third stands guard by the door, musket in hand.
