Fragment of tooth broken from the plate worn by Gen. George Washington enclosed in a locket with red stone trim. Made and repaired by Dr. John Greenwood, 1760- 1819, dentist of Washington. Dr. Greenwood's name appears in the New York directory for the last time in 1819 as follos -- "Greenwood, John, Dentist 3 Anne House, 13 Park." Source: William H. Brown |
