Dec.r 21st 1805/ Dear Sir,/ As soon as this month is/ out I will thank you to have the abstracts/ belonging to Washington made up and looked/ [torn] the accountants office I shall send forward/ abstracts and authorize you to receive/ the balance for me and pay some demands that/ will be against me that is if it is agreeable/ to you. I observe by the presidents myself/ that the army is to be augmented. Should/ that be the case, I should be glad to receive/ a Lieutenancy in the Army my object/ is to get to the new country an if/ you think there is any chance you may/ if you please make the application/ for me.
