Kibby/ Sir:/ The following resolution was this day adopted by this Board:/ Resolved, That additional security be required from all persons new under preotest upon/ loans obtained from this Bank, and that the Cahsier be instruced to inform all parties interested,/ that this Boar will require on all renewals additional names, unless some one of the Direc=/ tors knows the Note now held by the Bank to be good and solvent beyond all doubt./ Your Note is held by this Bank for $1410.75 due and protested on/ 18th Oct.o 1837 with G. W. Owen/ as securities./ Your are notified to comply with the above Resolution, and if not attended to, suits will/ be immediately brought. Also your note for $1426.67 due + pro./ '4th Nov.' 1837 with G.W. Owen as security./ Yours, very respectfully,/ Andw. Armstrong, Cashier." |
